Letter Writing Essentials | What’s in My Complete Setup

Over the last year, I have made an effort to be more active in the sending and receiving of letters and postcards. I have stated to accumulate a variety of supplies that I use when sending correspondence in terms of paper, postcards, envelopes and stamps, so I wanted to go through my current letter writing process and setup. I talk through a mixture of typed letters, handwritten letters and some that are half and half. I walk through a large assortment of items that I have found important in my letter writing, and even show my travel setup to easily be able to send letters out when not at home.

While I don’t cover everything, I didn’t go through all 17 typewriters for example, feel free to leave comments and ask for more clarification or details if you would like.

Here are some links to some of the products that I show in the video.

The DWRDNET Stationery Feed Episode 0208 With Dave Dollar Custom Pens

In this episode I welcome Dave Dollar of Dave Dollar custom pens to talk about how he transitioned into pen making from other wood working, and has turned that into a fulfilling retirement career of making custom fountain pens. Dave talks through his pen models, how he was able to find a unique niche that needed to be filled with one of his pen models, and how he has differentiated his pen models. Dave talks about winning the Orlando Pen Show makers contest and touches on plans for a repeat performance. This was a fun episode, so I hope that you enjoy.

Parker Sonnet First Impressions | Unboxing and Writing Test

I am back with an unboxing of essentially a new brand in the collection. I was able to pick up a Parker Sonnet Premium that has the 18K nib covered in rhodium finish in EF, and in this video, I unbox it and use it for the first time. I fill it up with Montblanc Royal Blue ink and then do the first writing on some Canopus A5 size paper. This was a surprising pen with how it writes and I am glad to add another pull cap pen to my writing rotation.
