Nic started making pens in 2018 or 2019.
He initially got into pen making due to his interest in high-end pocket knives.
Nic’s shop is located in his basement in Columbia, TN.
He typically keeps 10 to 12 pens inked at any given time.
His favorite inks are from the Pilot Iroshizuku series.
Nic enjoys leather goods and has tried making leather pen sleeves.
He transitioned from kit pens to custom designs as his skills improved.
Internal polishing is a specialty that sets his pens apart.
Community support among pen makers is strong and collaborative.
Nic plans to expand his offerings and possibly participate in pen shows.
