I am in Little Rock to visit the Arkansas Pen Club meeting today, so I came in a day early and hung out at Vanness yesterday and picked up a massive order of stationery to be able to do more letter writing. I haven’t taken anything out of the bag yet, so I thought why not do it on a stream.

Today we are unboxing the newest release from Asvine, the V800. This pen is a combination of some of their previous success stories in that it is a vacuum filler with one of their new #8 nibs. This pen was only recently released, so follow along as we unbox it, gather some first impressions and then ink it up and do a little bit of writing.

I purchased this pen from Amazon, and I got the green body with an EF nib. I use the Lamy Crystal Peridot to fill this up and do my initial writing impression. The V800 is turning heads with its combination of affordable luxury, robust design, and thoughtful details. It’s perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their writing experience without breaking the bank.
