Hexagonal Fountain Pens | Rotring Newton, TWSBI Precision and and Caran d’Ache 849 Compared

The Rotring fountain pen is a classic, and there have been some other hexagon body pens that have come along trying to fill that gap. Today I am looking at one of the originals in the Rotring Newton Lava compared the the Caran D’Ache 849 and the TWSBI Precision. All three of these are fitted with an EF nib, so it is down to my thoughts on how they write and feel in the hand when using them. They each are quite different in terms of construction, weight or pricepoint, but all three are great writers.
