Headaches suck

For the past 3 days, I have woken up right around 3am with a terrible migraine like headache. I took advil, and it did nothing. On Tuesday, the headache did not subside any until around 2:30 in the afternoon. Yesterday, it was 2 – 3 times worse than Tuesday and I ended up staying home and laying down all day only stirring to get more advil. Today it isn’t as bad as yesterday, but it is still bothering the hell out of me.

I think I must have slept funny on Monday night which threw my back out of line, which is causing the headache. The left side of my back is pulsing with the headache, and I can’t get it to pop, and heat didn’t help it. I tried all of the stretches that my chiro gave me in the past, also without success. I am going to have to try to get a chiro appointment on Monday, as they are not open tomorrow. I haven’t been in a while, so my back is probably screwed up on many levels.

I did take the time yesterday to get caught up on Season 5 of NCIS thanks to the Internets. I am almost completely caught up with the entire series, minus 6 episodes of season 5 and then the new episode that was on Tuesday evening.

Also, I am pretty sure that I mentioned it before, but if you aren’t watching the FX series Sons of Anarchy, well you should be. I believe they have all of the episodes available on their website, and if you have Comcast on Demand, I heard that they have them all there to watch as well. Next week is the season finale, and they have already been renewed for a 2nd season. It is one of my must watch shows each week.

I am glad for tv season again

I am glad that the tv viewing season is back in full swing. Heroes started last week and The Unit premiered last night. These are the main two shows that are my must sees, but I think that I could use one more added in for good measure, and I am leaning towards NCIS.

It seems that Heroes is going to be really dark this season which is needed. Featuring the villians is a needed change of pace and should make for a great season.

The Unit. I was giddy waking for the show to come on. There is a big plot point that looks as if it is going to change the format to one where each week is connected to the previous one instead of each week being a clean slate. I think that it should be fine with this change, as I doubt if David Mamet and Eric Haney will let the show go to hell in a handbasket.

Are any of you NCIS watchers? I watched some on dvr when I was in tx for my reunion, and I really liked it. I am going to give it a go this Tuesday and see what I think.

Any other tv suggestions?

30 days

I am watching 30 days on FX right now. It is about a gun hater living with a gun family. This is very interesting. It is like reading all of the pro and anti gun threads on most of the forums I read on a regular basis, but put to video. I have to say that so far, the show is pretty even on both sides of the issue of gun control. I thought that it would he heavily anti, as most media coverage is.

The one big thing that has a left slant, is that the pro gun family, that the child is very pro gun almost to the point where some people would view it as potential crazy.

Tonight is the night

Finally, Season 4 of Battlestar Galactica will start tonight. I have been waiting for this for quite some time, and am very interested to see how they will take the series to its end. It is sad knowing that the series will be ending in a short amount of time, but then it can be added to my list of favorite tv shows that either went out due to stupid network executives, or ones that didn’t want to try and drag on and went out in their prime.

Remember, it is all about the toasters.

Here I am at work

So I am doing emails today, so I get a chance to have a slower day now
that the inbox is empty. I am planning on heading to the airsoft store
today to try to decide what new toy to pick up on Friday. I am
debating between a sniper weapon or a M249 SAW. I really can’t go
wrong with either, but I am at a 50/50 decision right now.

I watched the 2nd episode of Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles
and I really like it. I hope Fox doesn’t screw it up like they do with
all of their good shows. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, the
first episode is available as a free download on itunes right now. You
can’t beat free, so make sure that you go and download it.

Chattacon is the weekend after next, and I am ready to have a weekend
to be a geek and drink lots of beer. I haven’t really done that in a
while. Beer is good.

I have also come to the realization that I have some sort of meeting
of some sort almost every night during the week. Mondays, PB, tuesdays
SOSI 5, Wed, airsoft team meeting, Thursday and Friday don’t have
anything regular, but stuff seems to pop up all of the time.

Well back to being productive.
