On Saturday, Todd and I rode up to Metropolis to the Superman celebration. We got there around 9:30 and met up with Bohler and just walked around as stuff was starting to open up. Bohler described it as a county fair for geeks, and I could see that completely. It reminded me of a county fair from the vendor booths lining the streets. I got to see the superman statue, and in person it seems smaller than what it looks like in pictures. We didn’t stay too long, as we wanted to take a leisurely ride though the Land Between the Lakes on the way back. I shot a few pictures of some of the costumed folks and then had a nice ride back. It was a 370 mile round trip, and a great day to be on a motorcycle.
