A feeling known as liberation

Today was a day at work that has long since been coming. Today I did something that I never really thought that I would do. I demoted myself. I decided that I didn’t want to commit to doing the position that I said that I would. I don’t see myself being at my current place of employment more than a couple of months, and it wouldn’t be fair to my employer for them to have to replace me a month down the road when they are in the middle of developing yet another structure that is bound to fail 3-4 months down the road from when it is decided upon. So I will be taking a decrease in pay and be going to an hourly status. I said that I would go about figuring some stuff out and give a final say at the beginning of next week. I am also considering going to 32 hours a week so that I can put more time towards my classes. I am not sure if this will be feasible in terms of still being able to make my car payments, rent, food etc. I guess that I will do some deep thinking over the weekend and let them know my decision at the beginning of next week.

In other words, I should be taking one of my certification tests within the next week or so. I am well on my way to finding new gainful employment. I feel really liberated with my decision and I just needed to share.

Merry Christmas and FYI

Merry Christmas.

Also, I just now noticed that they added Veronica Mars to the itunes store. I think that I know what my itunes gift card is going towards.

Migraine

When I woke up today, I had the worst migraine headache ever. I have to be at work in 45 minutes, and I hope that this goes away soon. When I took Sirius out this morning, I felt like I was about to fall over from quasi dizziness. This could be a very long day.

Weekend Recap

Last week was one of the longest weeks that I have had in a while. Due to needing last Sunday off for the parades, I swapped to where I would close on Monday. My schedule last week went a little something like this.
1-10 on Monday
Class 8-12 on Tuesday, 1-10 at work
9-6 at work Wednesday
Class 8-12 on Thurs, 1-10 at work
Friday work 9-3, drive to KY for wedding rehearsal stuff, get home around 10:30
Saturday morning go to graduation reception in Cool Springs, then drive to KY, wedding, Get home around 9:00
Sunday 12-9 at work (Since the mall has the stupidest holiday hours ever.

By the time yesterday came around, I was dead. I did go see Eragon, and it was so-so. Not as good as I thought that it would be, but still a decent movie. Last night was Portland Brew with the regular crowd. This morning was spent taking apart my vacuum cleaner as when I tried to turn it on, it started smoking and burning rubber. One trip to Kroger, and then Target later, I got it working, and then proceeded to vacuum my living room. Yes you saw that right. You would be amazed at the amount of dog hair that can accumulate in a couple of months. I am now killing time when I should be getting ready for work, as I have to be there in less than an hour. I get to close tonight and will probably come home and do some more vacuuming and cleaning up of the condo. The desire to do such a thing is a rare occurrence, so I figure that I must take advantage of it. Oh well that is all for now.
