Don’t you hate it when you wake up about 2 and a half hours before your alarm, feeling sick and you don’t know why, and to top it off, you can’t go back to sleep. I am in that situation right now and it isn’t pretty.

As I said before, be sure and look at , and for their entries too.
Saturday. On Saturday I decided to use my Hagrid costume for the day. Erin went as Hermione in the pink hoodie of doom, and Danielle went as Lara Croft. There were not that many Harry Potter costumes there, so I had quite a few people who wanted to take pictures of my costume. The big things that people loved were the pink umbrella and Norbert that Danielle let me use for the book release party. The big things that we did on Saturday were to go and see the Phelps twins, also known as Fred and George Weasley from the Harry Potter movies. I also went to a Harry Potter costuming panel where they talked about how to make student costumes etc, and then got to up in the front of the room and talk about my costume along with some others who had professors costumes. That was pretty cool. We didn’t really plan on going to that, but it was a good way to kill some time. Had we planned on it, Erin would have been the star of the show with her McGongall costume. One cool thing was getting to meet also known as Luminara from the boards. Here is a picture.

Derek and Emily
Here are some other pictures of note.

Tonks and Trelawny

Hermione and I don’t know who.

Lara and Lara.

The Phelps twins.

One of them.

The other one.
We went back to the condo and got changed to go to the Buffy Prom. We all agreed that we felt like we were in high school again. They took people’s names who were in costumes to decide who would be king and queen etc. Danielle gave her name as River Tam. She was prom queen. Very funny. We did see Devon and Billy there and Devon had the buffy dress from the episode as her costume which was very cool.
Here are some pictures.

King and Queen on stage.

The dance.

Striking a pose in her crown

Zander and Buffy

Buffy was at the prom.

The queen’s certificate.
That was the deal for Saturday. Sunday and Monday will follow as time allows.
Ok. I will start off with links to , and who also have up their Dragon*Con entries.
Thursday: On Thursday I worked from 9-6. When I left work at 6, I had not packed anything, and the others were meeting me at my house at 7 o’clock to leave for ATL. I had a list of what all that I needed, so packing didn’t take that long. Also at this point in time, my suspenders were not finished, nor the stripes put onto my Browncoat costume. The material that I bought would not work with the stitch witch. We got to ATL, made a Walmart run, got to the condo, and unloaded the car etc. and then folks checked email, Mightyiris did some Spanish and I began to sew. I worked for about 3 hours in which I finished the suspenders, and put the stripes onto my pants. I had to iron on a table so the material did not take that well. It was enough to work, but I am going to have to redo it before the movie opening.
Friday: We got up early and got ready to head to the hotels downtown. We were all in our Firefly garb. Myself as Mal, Danielle as River, Maria as Inara, and Erin as Kiri, one of the surviving Browncoats from Serenity Valley who can be found on page 15 and 16 of the novelization of the Serenity movie.

Ready to go.

River

The partial crew of Serenity.
After registering, we walked around and took in the sights for a little while before we got in line for the first Serenity panel. While in line we had some picture fun.

Erin and evil Willow

Some more crew members.

There were lots of Firefly costumes.
We had great seats at the panel due to waiting in a long line. Were were within the first 30 or some people into the room. I was able to get some pretty good pictures of the cast.

Adam Baldwin, Ron Glass, Jewel Staite, Morena Baccrain

Jewel Staite

Morena Baccrain

Ron Glass
We were planning on going to the Shindig on Friday night but the line was insane. I saw Kel there who I met at the screening in Memphis and she said that it sucked, so that made me feel good about not going.
A couple of other Friday pictures of note.

Wolverine

River and River. Both in great costumes.

Anakin in disguise and Mal, lost in space.

Count Olaf

A browncoat soldier. The picture isn’t the best, but the costume was excellent.
More entries will be up soon.
We are at Dragon*con. We are having a blast and there will be many pictures. I will be at Dragon*Con next year for sure. Longer update later. Need to head back to go to the Buffy Prom.
