Is it bad?

Is it bad to be so tired on a Sunday night that you are literally asleep by 9 p.m.? Granted I had just returned from a 25 mile bike ride and then mexican food, but still, something just seems wrong about being dead to the world by 9. Thoughts?

Today was a good day

Today was a good day. 75 degrees outside, sunny with a breeze. I was at work. We were slow, so the other 2 managers let me leave early since I rarely get to due to being a 10-7 shift on Saturdays. Bless them. I raced home and changed into my cycling clothes, grabbed the bike and headed out to Shelby. I had a great 20 mile ride. I had a higher average speed than normal, and it was a good day of obstacle riding, as everyone and their dog(literally) was out on the path. I was having to weave in and out of people a considerable amount of time while still keeping up a pace around 18mph. I am not in the least bit tired after that ride either which is a good thing. I am starting to get my legs back, and quicker than I thought that it would be. Granted I was riding all flat roads today, but I know that there will be more hills to come. I am planning on doing the road ride with REI tomorrow, and the other time that I did that, I had plenty of hills to play with.

Speaking of REI, they had a free bike maintenance class last Thursday evening. It was really helpful. Most all of the people there knew the basics of what the class was supposed to be, such as changing tires, adjusting brakes etc. so the mechanic was able to go into depth on more advanced things like derailleurs and chain stuff. He also said that they are planning to do a series of advanced classes where they are going to completely take apart a bike and rebuild it. That will be really cool to see how to do some of the more advanced things like pulling off the cranks and other stuff like that. I have a great book, but I am leary about messing something up. I would like to see it done before I attempt it myself.
